The Navigating Aged Care Workshops are an exciting and successful initiative run by our Home Care services team, aiming to empower older Australians and their loved ones to understand and navigate the aged care system.
This week, our Home Care team presented to DOOLEYS members at Regent St Pavilion.
This workshop was led by our Executive Director, Geoff Aigner and Program Manager (Home Care Specialist), Catherine Gonzaga, from our Home Care team, who walked all attendees through the aged care process and responded to the questions from community members.
Our Home Care specialists informed the community about the services we offer and how CatholicCare Sydney Home Care services benefit the wider community. The event had a strong turnout, and we also received positive feedback during the sessions.
Navigating Aged Care Workshops and DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club
The Navigating Aged Care workshops empower and educate participants and those involved in their care by providing essential knowledge of the Home Care system, including the latest reforms and government funding options - helping participants make confident, informed decisions to support their independence and improve their quality of life at home. Engaging the community at these events also encourages early registration for Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) packages, facilitating a timely transition to Home Care services, when needed.
