World Interfaith Harmony Week

World Interfaith Harmony Week

World Interfaith Harmony Week has been observed since 2010 after first being proposed at the United Nations by HM King Abdullah II of Jordan to promote harmony between citizens of the world regardless of their faith.

The belief is we can all find strength and unity in diversity, all faiths should be able to live alongside each other, it is the connection between people and their faith that delivers good in the world. CatholicCare Sydney acts on this belief every day, opening the door to community members seeking support no matter their faith or personal belief.

CatholicCare Sydney has a vision for a diverse, thriving society, inclusion is fundamental to why we exist. We are here for everyone. Our Catholic heritage reminds us daily to invite in and care for those who may not be like us, to open our arms in radical hospitality.

In World Interfaith Harmony Week, we reiterate the message that all are welcome here, no matter your faith we are here to help you.

Galatians 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
