We have partnered with Australian Catholic University to evaluate participants’ views on Ageing Well, with the aim to determine the changes in the understanding of and attitudes on ageing well as a result of participating in the masterclasses.
Sharing your views and experiences of the Masterclasses will help us understand whether the Masterclasses have been helpful in improving participants’ knowledge of ageing.
What will I be asked to do?
- Complete a short survey (about 30 minutes) before and after the Masterclasses, asking about your general health and wellbeing and your thoughts on ageing well (both surveys will be posted to you and you will be given postage paid envelopes to return your surveys and consent form).
- After you have participated in the Masterclasses, you will be invited to join in a small group discussion called a ‘focus group’ of one hour to share your experience of the Masterclasses in more detail. This will be held the week after the last Masterclass between mid-March and early April.
- Participation in the survey will be anonymous and any answers you give in the focus group will be kept confidential.
- You can withdraw from the study at any time prior to posting your completed survey. You can withdraw from the focus group at any time before or during the session, or within one week after the focus group takes place.
Participation is voluntary. You can choose to participate in the Masterclasses without participating in this study. You can also choose to participate in the survey and not the focus group.
If you are interested in joining the study or would like more information, register for Ageing Well at your preferred location.
