What is Supported Employment?

NDIS supported employment means working in a real business, earning an income, and receiving tailored support to help you succeed. Our supported employment for people with disability is open to NDIS participants with employment funding and focuses on inclusive, long-term job opportunities tailored to your goals and abilities.

BariStars

To meet the changing goals of our participants and assist them in reaching their goals, we’ve added a mobile coffee business to our Inclusive Employment program!

Named ‘BariStars’ – ‘ability with every cup’, this program will provide participants with valuable hospitality employment skills. Gaining the foundation of operational skills needed to work in a Café, participants will receive hands-on practice and learning in a classroom environment.

You’ll learn to:

  • Make and sell coffee
  • Practice good food hygiene
  • Deliver great customer service
  • Make monetary transactions
  • Master your work experience in a mobile Café business!

 

Supported Employment Opportunity

Once fully trained, confident and qualified, participants may have the opportunity to work in the mobile Café business supported by our team.

Gardening Services

CatholicCare Disability Services has been offering professional gardening services throughout the Inner West and South West Sydney to residential and corporate clients for the last 10 years. Develop your skills and confidence so that you can deliver these in-demand services.

You will learn how to:

  • Safely operate machinery, equipment and tools to fulfill essential tasks including: Hedge and edge trimming, Mowing, Gardening, General lawn maintenance
  • Work health and safety
  • Customer satisfaction training
  • Communication skills
