Direct Employment is a Disability Employment Service provider helping people with disability find and maintain jobs, and providing employers with suitable applicants to fill job vacancies.
Who does Direct Employment support?
Direct Employment operates like a recruitment service, using our vast network and expertise to connect well-trained, highly committed job seekers with employers across Sydney looking to fill job vacancies.
Direct Employment aims to support people with disability who need help finding a job to live the life they choose by providing job seekers with free employment support, including:
- Job seeking assistance (including résumé writing and interview preparation)
- Job training
- New skills training
- Ongoing workplace support
- Accredited training from St Patrick’s Institute of Education
Direct Employment also provides ‘Job in Jeopardy’ services which support people with disability who already have a job but need extra training to avoid losing their job, meet the demands of a new role or perform even better in their current job.
Direct Employment works with employers to ensure job seekers meet essential employer requirements. Employers have access to free support, including:
- Wage subsidies
- Apprenticeship and traineeship incentives
- Ongoing workplace support and new skills training for employees
